Open Book Episode 13: Let’s talk self-publishing

Welcome to Open Book, our biweekly podcast where we are, well, open books about everything. We’ll share what we’re reading, talk about the business side of running a small used bookstore, and maybe get a little weird. This week we are so excited to have Raven Solomon on our podcast to talk about not only writing her first book, but self-publishing it. If you’re someone struggling to lead a team with several generations represented, check out Leading Your Parents: 25 Rules to Effective Multigenerational Leadership for Millennials and Gen Z. Raven is a brilliant leadership guru and total inspiration to Garrett and Alyssa – you can learn more about the work she does by clicking here to head to her website. Other big things are talked about too, including Garrett and Alyssa’s next buddy read (hello, The Hobbit!) and Alyssa shares some pretty big news that means some changes to the store coming up.

Taylor is a close friend of ours and also read and watched the movie over the holiday break, so we figured why not. And of course things get weird… there’s hand hugging and talk of voices that put you to sleep, like Garrett’s.
