Empyrean lovers, it’s time for Threshing Day! To celebrate the release of Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros, we’re hosting a day-long celebration on September 29, and you’re invited! Here’s what you can expect:
Special hours: We’ll be open from 10-7 p.m. that day so you can get your book even earlier in the day! Don’t forget you can place your preorder with us here.
Food specials: Making a return from our Onyx Storm midnight release party is our Shadow Daddy’s Chocolate Cake ice cream flavor with Seemingly Overzealous! Head to their Camp North End location that day to grab some scoops of a dairy and gluten-free ice cream flavor that Xaden would love.
Survive your own threshing: Temporary dragon tattoos will be available so you can feel like you’ve survived your own Threshing! We’ll also have 3D printed dragons courtesy from Will The Artist that you can purchase and be assigned at random - leave with your very own Black, Blue or Iridescent dragon!
Kindles & Kettlebells Pop-Up: All day long we’ll be joined by Dr. Sierra, a strength and rehab coach who helps book lovers feel connected to their favorite characters through strength, movement and community. We work together to build strong resilient bodies for every chapter of life. If you're looking to have the strength to ride a dragon, climb to the House of Wind, fight a Valg or anything inbetween, this program is for you. At the Threshing Day release party we will see if you have the strength to survive your first year in the riders' quadrant and make it to Threshing Day. And if you make it... you get to find out which dragon will bond with you.
Build Your Own Kindle Charm Bar: We’ll have our build your own kindle charm bar set up all day for the event! Select up to 5 charms and we’ll assemble them on a chain for you that you can stick on your e-reader, phone or notebook. If you’d like an example of what they’ll look like, click here. Charms are $3 each.
Friendship Bracelets: We’ll have our friendship bracelet making supplies set up with Empyrean inspired sayings so you can create a free memento from the event.
Book bedazzling: From 5-7 p.m. we’ll host a Fourth Wing Book Bedazzling event! Your ticket includes a paperback copy of Fourth Wing to bedazzle alongside other book lovers and light refreshments. You can choose a ticket that includes a bedazzling kit, or if you have a kit from a previous event there’s a ticket option to just get the book and light refreshments. Head here to secure your spot.
Outside of the book bedazzling portion, this event is free and open to anyone! No need to register - simply stop by during the day to participate in the various activities!
